- FAME: PROFESSIONAL FM ANTENNAS WITH REMARKABLE GOOD DAB PERFORMANCE
Our professional FM/AM antennas – FAME – is also suitable for the professional DAB solution. In our field test the FAME antennas had remarkable good receiving FM and DAB performance. The signals were received over double the distance further away than defined by the Danish authorities.

(*1): In our field test in Denmark the above group of VHF-antennas had very good DAB and FM receiving capabilities. The signals were received in very good quality 75km further away than defined by the Danish authorities. A very good result for this group of antennas.

Globally DAB is becoming more and more popular. During 2017, Norway will shut down the FM-signal as the first country in the world. Hereafter, only the DAB-radio signals will be available. So during 2017 the traditional FM-signal will no longer be available in Norway, so you need DAB-radio and a DAB-antenna to receive the radio signals. In almost all European countries and in Australia DAB broadcast service is available. In more than 30 countries worldwide eg. China, Indonesia, UAE, Thailand etc. DAB is introduced on a trial basis. Why is DAB winning? Or why is FM loosing? The answer is very simple, there are significant lower costs for: DAB compared to FM broadcast equipment, distribution of the signal, energy, cooling, service and maintenance. |
